Brugge

Spent 2 days in Brugge - highly recommended. Just got into Paris; got lodging for the night and now will be finding something a bit cheaper. Off to make procurements.

Will write more later do not want to waste sunlight.

Amsterdam

is batshit insane. Every single square surface is covered in bikes bolted to anything - last posts, other bikes, dogs...

It is also kind of scary just how much of the inner city is just for tourists. Weed, souvenirs, and adult stores. Some hotels.

Went to the Rijks Museum (must visit), and the Van Gough museum (also very nice). Have hired a bike and am riding it around la lalala.

Nurmberg + Freiberg

So - a little blurb about Nurmberg:
A very pleasant little town. Very good christmas market. Also went and visited some dungeons.

Freiburg:
Is a small city. Nothing amazing in itself, but it's 40 minutes by train out to little towns in the mountains in the Black Forest. Very, very much recommended. It was sunny, snow was perfect for snowman, a lovely lake...ah. Watched a soccer game with some Germans and they introduced me to the joys of Beer + Coke. I kid you not...it is fantastic.

Will post photos at some point.

Photos from Nürnberg

Dear Nürnburg,

You feel colder than Prague even though I know you're not. Must be the wind...but I have warm socks, a scarf, and waterproof shoes. Nothing can hurt me. :)

Tomorrow I go to the Black Forest. All the bears are probably hibernating so I can't play with one. On the upside... it's SNOWING! I caught snowflakes on my tongue. It is too cold to make snowmen.

Also, this trip will make my ass big; yesterday I had:
- 9:00am - Breakfast, two plates from breakfast buffet, omelette and breads cheeses vegetables, coffee two juices and cake.
- 11:00am - Brunch, big bowl of mushroom soup and warm wine
- 3:00pm - Dinner, An entire baked Brie with two slices of bread and salad, a whole trout and baked potate plus misc veggies
- 7:00pm - Apple strudel and two beers

Also some warm mead along the way. Walked for most of the day, covered a lot of ground in minus lord-knows what temperatures.

Prague, Day 1

So - if I'd tried to fly in a day earlier, I wouldn't have succeeded.  Airport was closed, as were all roads due to snow. :)

Most of the stuff I brought is great (.3 kilos under carry-on allowance lol), flight was fantastic - I could stretch my legs out all the way.

Several things I have learnt:
- If you keep jumping through snow joyfully, your toes will get cold.
- I need a scarf.  Your nose goes numb after an hour without it.
- Women standing in little carts with glowing coals and security around are pimps; any attempts to get directions will simply get you more offers for 'big-titted women'.
- It's -10 and cold as a witch's tits.  -20 is going to be interesting, I will need warmer socks and slightly better gloves.

Have yet to build a snowman, however my fears of no snow were unfounded, it's everywhere.  Will take more photos and them put them all up.

It's really lovely and totally fucking awesome.
